Today, Darrin and I celebrate our 18th Anniversary. 20 years together and still having so much fun. When I met Darrin, I knew I found my missing piece. Better together is the best place to be. He is my partner in life, my co-captain, my soulmate and the one who makes me belly laugh the hardest. His unconditional love, sense of humor and friendship make my heart happy. He is the best father and friend to all. I love you Darrin!

We had the best time in Oklahoma City this past weekend. We were looking for a fun road-trip get away and OKC did not disappoint! We met the friendliest people, fellow travelers and locals. The city feels big but has a small town vibe. It's family friendly and fun for all! The city is clean, vibrant and walkable (or grab a Bird Scooter). We stayed at The Skirvin and it was beautiful! The Red Piano bar in the lobby is so fun! Tell Amy, Erika and Melody we said hello! They gave us a list of places where we should go see, watering holes and places to dine (I’ll list in a future blog post). We tried many! The Oklahoma National Memorial & Museum is a place that all humans should visit. It’s a beautiful tribute to all of the souls that were lost and the community who were forever changed on April 19, 1995.

I’ve been on an ice cream making kick lately. Today’s flavor will be either chocolate or banana cream.

I decided to upgrade my 20 year old machine and bought this. It’s a big 2 quart machine which will allow me to make bigger batches. Woohoo! Homemade ice cream deserves nice storage containers too! AND…. I’m going to need some taste testers, so…. I had to have these too! The lemon-lavender batch from last week was incredible! I made ice cream sandwiches with pizzelle cookies. I found them at Target and Aldi. Or make your own with a press. SO! GOOD!

Dinner tonight… I’ve posted this before but it’s worthy of a repeat.

Do you have an equestrian in your life? Thanks to one of Bethany’s teachers, she recommended Tricolor Tack in Overland Park.. Great selection, the owner is delightful and Truman the Terrier will keep you company!

Watching - Maid - heartbreaking story of survival and resilience.

My favorite booties! I’ve logged many miles and danced the night away in these. So comfortable and stylish. I recently discovered these no-show liners and they are life changing! They have a padded area on the ball of your foot to make high heels more comfortable.

Shout out to Shelby! Today is her first day as a middle school science teacher!!

Have a wonderful week. Do something nice for yourself, your home and someone else.
