Welcome to my kitchen and home!

I am a proud Native KANSAN and was taught at a very early age to enjoy

being in the kitchen.  

​

I am an avid cook, baker, and epicurean.  Cooking gluten-free and vegetarian is a new passion of mine to accommodate my family’s needs.  But truth be told, I’ll try anything! 

​

I enjoy reading, interior decorating, fast cars (old and new :) ) and traveling.

I love exploring the local dining scene, we have so much to choose from!  

We love our BBQ and our farm-to-table cuisine.  Kansas City is a foodie town!

I am married to my soul mate (we share birthdays!)

Our two daughters keep us busy and inspire us every day. 

We are definitely 4 peas in a pod.

We share our home with a silly Boston Terrier and two lovable cockatiels. 

It’s a zoo around here, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Having my home filled with family and friends makes my heart happy. Cooking, entertaining, and sharing my passion for good food is my love language.

Starting Hummus With Heart is a homegrown journey as a way to give back to my community.
