WOW! What a weekend! Quality time with family, friends and neighbors. Time well spent!

The results are in! My new ice cream machine has been churning out some hits!! If you’ve ever thought about getting a machine, this may be the one for you. I made a bath of Frosted Animal Cookie for my niece's birthday and it was so yummy. Next batch will be Chocolate Covered Cherry. Swoon!

I hosted a ladies get together last week and my theme was Welcome to Halloween 1975. Having a theme helps me focus and narrow down my choices for my menu.

I made:

Pigs in a Blanket - a classic for the whole family

Cucumber Sandwiches - I slice fresh baguette bread, smear with herb cream cheese and top with a sliced cucumber. Quick and easy!

Swiss Cheese Fondue - served with broccoli, roasted baby potatoes (I love these) and cubed beer bread. It was a hit!!

Mel’s Pimento Cheese with crackers and celery sticks. I hope you like this as much as I do!

Chocolate Bundt Cake

Darrin and I celebrated our 18th Anniversary last Monday and had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, JJ’s on the Plaza. We have celebrated many happy occasions at this iconic KC restaurant.

I spent a gorgeous Saturday with other yogi’s at Somerset Ridge Vineyard in Paola. Blue skies and great friends made for a perfect day. Thank you Joni for sharing your love of yoga with us. This was my first visit to Somerset and I am smitten! You can make reservations for a cute table outside in their garden.
