Last week was a tough one for my family. We had to say goodbye to our sweet super-dog Logan (aka Logan Bear, Logie Bear and Wiggle Butt). She was a gentle soul who loved to run, chase squirrels and keep watch over our backyard. She was a loving companion. Her spirit will live on in our hearts.

We miss her terribly!
My daughters and I were invited to a dinner hosted by a wonderful local family and the Directors of the Camping and Education Foundation. My girls were asked to talk about their experiences at Ogichi Daa Kwe. Going to camp each summer has enriched their lives beyond measure. We also had the pleasure of dining on food from Enjoy Pure Foods located in Mission Farms. Absolutely delicious!
The aroma of Mom’s Apple Cake filled my home with the sweet smell of fall. It’s a breeze to make and gets better each day!
Shelby made us this great Caramelized Banana Upside Down Cake. She modified the recipe to use gluten-free flour. Bethany is asking that I make it as soon as possible.
Here is my go-to recipe for guacamole. If you’ve never added fresh pineapple to your guac, you are missing out. It’s life changing! While you're at it, make yourself a Spicy Pineapple Margarita. SO GOOD!!! The Tajin rim is a must!
I’m old school. Homemade Pimento Cheese is one of my favorite snacks to make. I had all of the ingredients except the cream cheese but I did have a container of chive and onion cream cheese spread. Holy moly! I may never use plain cream cheese again! Lookie!! Pimento Cheese Jalapeno Poppers
Watched - Count Me In on Netflix. A documentary featuring some of rock’s greatest drummers. I dare you to not tap your foot :)
