There is SO MUCH going on in the Kansas City metro and surrounding communities this weekend! Get outside and have some fun!

It will be a gorgeous Sunday to enjoy one of my favorite local bands Stolen Winnebagos at Sar Ko Par Park this Sunday, October 11th at 5:00 pm. FREE admission! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets (to socially distance of course) and be sure to pack your picnic dinner. May I suggest this tasty appetizer?

My friend Kristen has a great blog. Her site is full of great recipes, book reading lists and so much more! We met a few years ago (still scratching my head it took us so long to meet since we live so close to one another). I will forever be grateful for her advice on blogging and life in general. Haunted forest trail in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Ages 12+. Not for the faint of heart. Requires hiking 1 mile. I’m sure some people (not me) would find this fun. I bet middle and high school kids would love this!

The Iron District located at 1599 Iron Street in North Kansas City is an outdoor food, beverage, and retail space, custom-built by using shipping containers to house food and retail vendors. So cool! Check out their Oktoberfest on October 9th.

V’s Italiano Ristorante - a KC original since 1963. When I don’t have the time to make my own meatballs from scratch, I always buy their frozen ones (in the frozen section at most markets). Let them simmer in your favorite jarred marinara sauce and no one will know you didn’t make them yourself! Trust me! You could even smother them in bbq sauce for an easy appetizer! YUM! GO CHIEFS!!

WOW! I love the new modern food courts. They have bars! Check out Parlor and Strang Hall I love the concept of great local chefs partnering together under one roof. Everyone in your group gets to order the food they crave in a great space with lots of room for everyone. WIN WIN!
